Isolated on an island 
The world crumbling around 
She froze in terror 
Her life up in flames 
Memories kept smoldering 
Hope that she held on to
Felt like slipping 
The door where she once stood 
And watched the world pass by 
Moved deeper & deeper 
Into the black hole 
The light & the moths 
Friends forever 
Now Immersed into darkness 
Despair was too heavy to bear
Her eyes couldn't see anymore
With her head in her hands
She cried for old days 
Yearned for a familiar face 
Longed for a stranger's voice 
But all she could hear 
Were her own sobs 
Her goodbyes to a life 
Life that was burning 
Still in flames ..
